Rotary Wing UAV: SAR
TATI is also developing semi-autonomous helicopters for search and
rescue missions. The UAVs will search for people in isolated regions,
sea, monitor large-area of natural disasters (such as: floods, forest
fires), sample gas and radioactive emissions over industrial disaster
sites, and act as a communication platform when regular infrastructures
are not available or damaged. The helicopter will be capable to carry
and deploy fire/pollution retardants, life-boats in case of maritime
disasters, emergency supplies of food and medicines, etc. One of the
methods to deploy emergency supply is via Disposable Air Drop Systems
such as the CopterBox concept.
