Sebuah pesawat CN 235 Maritime Patrol (MPA) pesanan TNI Angkatan Laut terparkir di hanggar PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI). Berkelir hijau, pesawat itu baru saja lulus uji coba terbang selama satu jam di langit Jawa Barat awal April 2013 lalu.

Para teknisi PTDI berkerubung di pesawat seharga US 21,5 juta per buahnya itu. Burung besi produksi PTDI bekerjasama Airbus Military itu hendak diperkuat dengan radar pengintai lautan, dan kamera beresolusi tinggi.

A lack of shore facilities and ports present few problems for both landing craft and amphibious support ships as they are designed to operate with austere facilities and can often disgorge their cargoes without any shore assistance. Despite their utility, modernization efforts for these vessels are following a halting and piecemeal path in the Asia-Pacific region; several navies continuing to operate ageing vessels and have no immediate plans to perform their replacement.

SUNGAI RAYA, KOMPAS.com — Pangkalan Udara (Lanud) Supadio mendapat tambahan kekuatan satu skuadron pesawat tanpa awak, yang diharapkan tiba pada akhir tahun ini. Pesawat itu akan menjalankan tugas pemantauan wilayah, termasuk kawasan perbatasan Indonesia dan Malaysia di Kalimantan Barat.

A key piece of the combat system for the Hobart Class Air Warfare Destroyers - the Phalanx Close-In-Weapon-System (CIWS) - has arrived in Adelaide.

The Phalanx system for the future destroyers Hobart and Brisbane have been shipped from the United States to the AWD Alliance, CEO Rod Equid said today.

Menhan : Leopard Dan Marder Mulai Datang Bertahap Oktober 2013

  Kementerian Pertahanan menyatakan tidak lama lagi senjata baru TNI Angkatan Darat yakni tank tempur utama Leopard dan tank tempur menengah Marder tiba di Indonesia. Sesuai rencana, kedua tank asal pabrikan Rheinmettal, Jerman ini tiba secara berangsur mulai Oktober 2013.
"Tank Leopard dan Marder yang datang bukan cuma contoh saja, tapi sudah yang produksi," kata Wakil Menteri Pertahanan Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin saat ditemui kemarin malam di Hotel Sultan, Jakarta, Kamis, 18 April 2013.
